KEEPING THIS ZIPLOC® PLANT SEALED UP TIGHT

ZIPLOC® BAG MANUFACTURING & WAREHOUSE FACILITY IN SEQUIN, TEXAS

THE CHALLENGE

The 25-year-old metal roof on this aging facility was in dire need of restoration, with failing curbs, worn fasteners and severe rust resulting in over 100 separate leaks. Adding to the urgency was the expected early arrival of record-breaking wet weather in this part of Texas.

THE PROCESS

Barrier determined that polyurethane foam was the only solution that could offer 100% adhesion to the existing roof system. Our trained technicians went to work installing a 2″ sprayed polyurethane foam roof system with acrylic coating and double granules to guard against hail.

THE RESULT

Barrier completed the facility’s new roofing system in early 2016, just in time for the onset of the expected horrific weather. Even with pounding torrential rains, the roof sustained not a single leak.

“For a project of this size, we were impressed by how quickly Barrier was able to assess our situation, develop a strategy and implement the solution. The clock was ticking, but these guys came through for us in a big way.”
