JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED TO PROTECT A VITAL MEDICAL FACILITY

CANCER CARE CENTER IN FRESNO, CALIFORNIA

THE CHALLENGE

With their specialized construction and abundance of lifesaving equipment, medical facilities present unique challenges when it comes to roofing. The Cancer Care Center was no exception with its two-story design incorporating numerous odd angles and an abundance of mechanical equipment. Reroofing this facility for insulation and waterproofing purposes would be a true test of our skills and capabilities.

THE PROCESS

  •  1 1/2” polyfoam roof system
  • 30 mil acrylic elastomer top coat

THE RESULT

The polyfoam roof we installed over the building’s weathered plywood proved to be the ideal solution for creating a seamless, waterproof roof with enhanced insulation value. Almost immediately, the facility enjoyed a 30% reduction in energy costs. The client was so pleased with the results, they have since trusted Barrier with several additional projects

“Barrier shows a strong commitment to problem-solving. They’re very proactive in dealing with the issues. They’re very knowledgeable. They’re very honest. We’ve had an excellent experience with them every time. I’ve recommended them and would continue to recommend them on every type of roofing solution that they provide.
