Need for speed no hindrance to solar project completion.

FARMING OPERATION IN DOS PALOS, CALIFORNIA

THE CHALLENGE

Teixeira & Sons wanted to install a large-scale solar energy system for its farming operation, but had only 90 days to have the project designed, installed and completed in order to meet the deadline for a 2014 federal tax credit.

THE PROCESS

Barrier met with Teixeira representatives and agreed to design, install and deliver a 1.2 megawatt solar system to meet the aggressive deadline. In the end, Barrier beat the deadline by 30 days, actually completing the project and having it fully operational in 60 days.

THE RESULT

The solar system’s impact was immediate, dramatically reducing operation’s monthly electric bill while providing ample power to support the farm’s needs. The solar project also reduced the facility’s reduced carbon footprint, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable farming.
